If you have the Alien Residence Certificate

You’ll need

    1. The original copy of a valid Alien Residence Certificate (ARC)(issued by the Ministry of the Interior)
    2. A secondary identification document.(such as a driver’s license、Employee badge requires employee number)
    3. NT$1,000 cash: minimum opening deposit for demand savings deposit account
      NT$10,000 cash: minimum opening deposit for time deposit account

Non-ARC Holder

If you don’t have the Alien Residence Certificate

You’ll need

    1. A valid passport with entry/exit permit(VISA or entry stamp), or a valid Overseas Compatriot Identity Certificate issued by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (either one).
    2. R.O.C. (Taiwan) UI No. Basic Information Form (applied via National Immigration Agency website)
    3. The address of your original residence abroad, and documents such as bills, statements or government-issued documents detailing your name and said address, a copy shall suffice (independently verified documents such as utility/gas bills or bank statements)
    4. NT$1,000 cash: minimum opening deposit for demand savings deposit account
      NT$10,000 cash: minimum opening deposit for time deposit account
